The present, post-socialist situation produces a visual culture that circles the globe. Even architecture matters today more as image than as structure.  What does it mean to be on the "left" as a producer of culture in this new situation? How can cultural production work on the surface of the image to turn the society of the spectacle into a source of illumination?
